From Nurse to Novelist: How I Found My Voice Through Books

I never dreamed I’d be blessed enough to become a novelist.

About ten years ago, I made the decision to write my first book—and it took everything I had. It wasn’t just the act of writing that was hard; it was the emotional mountain I had to climb just to believe I could do it. It took a couple of years just to hype myself up, and then I poured every skill I had—every ounce of value and strength within me—into that first project.

At the time, I was enrolled in nursing school. So I thought, Why not start where I am?

I wrote my first book on healing—drawing from the medical knowledge I was learning and my passion for helping others. That first book gave me the confidence I needed. It showed me I could finish. And finishing unlocked something powerful in me.

From there, I expanded into books on self-development. Then, spirituality.

Once I had touched those three realms—body, mind, and spirit—I felt the calling shift.

It wasn’t just about enriching readers in the present anymore.

I began writing to enrich the future.

I envisioned generations to come, long after I’m gone, reading my books and awakening to their own visionary gifts. I saw my writing as a way to plant seeds in the future—spiritual technology encoded in stories and wisdom for those yet unborn.

That’s when I knew it was time to write my first novel.

I needed a story powerful enough to keep me going. Something that could carry the weight of legacy and still feel light with imagination. That story was Mickey Mouse.

In 2024, the original Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse entered the public domain.

And I took a 7½ minute black-and-white cartoon from the 1920s…

…and turned it into a 90,000-word literary work of adult fiction.

It took four years.

Not because I didn’t know how to write—but because I wanted it to be timeless.

It had to carry plot, subplots, tension, depth, nostalgia, imagination—and heart.

That novel became what I now call my masterpiece.

But just like my first book in nursing gave me confidence to write more,

this novel gave me the courage to write another one.

And now, my next novel is already on its way.

👑 Cinderella: The Queen’s Edition

Releasing Jan. 2027

This version of Cinderella is different.

She’s been crowned Queen. She holds the keys to the kingdom.

The story picks up not at midnight, but after the transformation—when real responsibility, royalty, and rulership begin. It’s been about a year in the making, just for the plot. And now I’m finally weaving in the character dialogue and living, breathing moments of the story.

I can’t wait to share the first sneak peeks with you soon.

In the meantime, I’m continuing to write other transformational books—on self-development, spirituality, capital, healing, and vision.

📖 So stay tuned—because this journey is far from over.

And I write each one with the hope that it will awaken you to the greatness in you.
